Whether you are a blogger, a freelancer, A local business owner, or an Instagram influencer, having a uniquely recognizable personal brand is what sets you apart from the rest. In an environment that is more competitive than ever, it's crucial that you establish your personal brand. Your personal brand is how you communicate your experience, skills, and personality to your potential clients and customers. A personal branding photography session will help you put your best face forward, tell your story, and solidify your brand. I cant wait to see what magic we create and what you get up to in this wild world!

Once your personal brand photoshoot is over, it's all about using your gorgeous new photos to your advantage. If you use them right, you'll be able to turn those photos into a larger audience, new clients, and more sales. Here are a few ways to use your photos to really get your money's worth!

YOUR WEBSITE

Once you have received your digital images from your session, you can use them on your website to give it a little makeover. They will help your potential clients to connect with you and help with your "know, like, trust" factor. It's proven that people want to work with someone they feel like they know and can trust.

SOCIAL MEDIA

One of the most popular places to use your images is on your social platforms. This is where our clients spend the most time getting to know us. Sharing your images here will help you grow your audience and increase your engagement. Having personal branding images will also help you to post content more often and refresh your profile pictures so it stays "fresh".

BROCHURES & BUSINESS CARDS

Let's go beyond the screen! Depending on your business you could use your branding photos in a brochure and leave them at local businesses, client meetings, or networking events. You can even keep a few handy to give to potential customers you run into! (Or use an online brochure in the same way!) And what better way to make an impact with your business card than having a photo on it! People are more likely to remember you and why they took your card in the first place if you are on it!

LOCATION

I prefer to get out of the studio and to a location that truly represents you and your brand!

PRO TIP: If you run a home-based business having your photoshoot at a Show Home is perfect! They are always staged beautifully, and bonus, you don't have to clean every nook and cranny of your own home! I always want to get some shots of you 'doing your job. Whether you're a fitness trainer and we get shots of you at the gym or an artist and we get some shots of you working on your next piece in your studio. I want to make sure to capture you doing what you love!

Here is a blog post of location options I love and showhomes I have access to CHOOSING YOUR LOCATION

PROPS

Telling the story of what you do, who you are, and why you love it, is easy with the help of a few props. Are you a photographer? Let's get some shots of you with your camera? Are you a florist? capturing you arranging a bouquet would be ideal! If you're a food blogger, bring along one of your favorite food dishes or spoons. Not sure what props would work for you? Think about your brand colours and bring a prop that has some of those colours for a little extra something!

I also love to get a couple of shots of something that represents you as a person. For example, my husband and I love to travel. I always bring back some sand from a new beach, I get a couple of shots of the sand to share a little more about myself with my following.

"What should I wear for my photoshoot?" This is one of the most common questions I get asked when preparing for a Personal Branding Session. So I partnered up with personal stylist Kimberley to help guide you to pick the best outfits for your session.

When considering what to wear for your session think about outfits that reflect your personal style and line of work. What would you typically wear to work? what do your clients see you in when they hire you? Think about your brand colors and outfits that are flattering to your figure. You want to look like yourself, your best self! We will usually have time for at least two to three outfits during your session! Personal stylist, Styled By Kimberley recommend this:

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTOSHOOT:

My mission is to provide you with photos that convey who you are and what you do. Showcasing the profession and skills you have, so you can show your clients the value you offer, and help you stand out from the crowd.

STEP 1 - PLAN YOUR SHOOT:

At this point, you will have gone through my website and portfolio and liked what you saw! Your shoot is now scheduled and you have filled out the questionnaire! Our next step is to book our strategy call. (in person, over the phone, or on zoom) With your answers to these questions in mind, I will have some ideas for us to create a shot list. During this call, we will ensure that we have a set location and a good idea of the images you want to achieve from your session.

STEP 2 - DAY OF THE SHOOT:

Don't worry if you're a little camera shy! Even I am! It's always tough to be on the other side of the camera. But I have your back! I will give you lots of direction and make sure you feel comfortable so your natural beauty and personality shine through!

STEP 3 - AFTER THE SHOOT:

Galleries are typically delivered within three weeks! Depending on the package you chose you will either get to download and keep them all or select your favorite ones so I can send you your final gallery with your high-resolution images. All that is left to do from there is share them (and your brand) with the world! EEkkkk!!!

STEP 4 - YOUR SPOTLIGHT FEATURE!

I like to show support to the businesses who hire and trust me to help them reach their goals! I do a blog post on each business that I work with! Be sure to keep an eye out for it! ( I will also let you know when it's out!)

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM YOUR EDITED IMAGES

WHAT DO I EDIT?

When I edit your gallery I edit the Images for exposure, tone, colour, and minor skin retouching.

My general rule is, I will never remove anything from your images that will still be there in two weeks' time.

WHAT I DO NOT EDIT

I do not make any body edits, whiten teeth or remove moles without previous direction and consent.

If you require any of these types of edits we can discuss this before your session. Keep in mind minor edits like teeth whiting or mole removal edits are available for an additional cost of $10 per image.
